Fixed braces are used to move teeth in a 3 dimensional plain. This means they can level teeth which are crooked, de-rotate teeth which are twisted and retract teeth which are protruding. They are usually made of metal and this is the preferred material. Although not aesthetic, metal fixed braces offer the quickest treatment time.
